A fruity nose with ripe red berry aromas, predominantly black currant and red currant with burnt almond and occasionally mushroom and undergrowth. It boasts a round, full and delicate palate with velvety tannins and a long and pleasantly complex finish. Emilien is the perfect wine to accompany both family dishes and more sophisticated delicacies.
This non-filtered wine is produced from vines planted with 85% merlot, 7% cabernet sauvignon, 6% cabernet franc, 1% malbec and 1% carmenere. Emilien is obtained by a 2-year decantation in foudres and used barrels.

Free of any artificial products, our greatest efforts go into creating unique wines that are the purest expression of our soils and grapes, and a delight for all drinkers. Located at the top of the same clay and fossil-rich limestone plateau as Saint-Emilion, overlooking the districts of Pomerol and Saint-Emilion, le Puy dominates the Dordogne Valley. At an altitude of 107m, it is the second highest geodesic point of the Gironde department. This position lent its name to the site as of Roman times ; le Puy means a high place, a podium or mountain peak.
