The birthplace of the modern Cabernet boom in South America is Central Valley Chile. Classic Cabernet Sauvignon with an eye towards Bordeaux. There's plenty of dark fruit, but also tobacco, herbaceous notes, mocha and a finish that speaks to the complexity of the grape, rather than just ripeness and new oak. Alluring and harmonizing beautifully. The palate is smooth, concentrated and long, with a lingering finish and ripe tannins.
